Title Insurance Rates for New Jersey/ Florida
The Department of Insurance in many states, regulates the fees filed by Title Insurance Underwriters. In FL, NJ and PA, all rates are filed with their respective Departments of Banking and Insurance. Title agents are bound by law to charge only the accepted fees and rates as filed with the Department of Banking and Insurance, therefore rates from agency to agency are essentially the same.

BASIC UNDERWRITING RATE SCHEDULE - Pennsylvania
$0.00 - $30,000.00 - $420.00
$30,0001.00 - $45,000.00 + add $7.25 per $1,000.00
$45,001.00 - $100,000.00 + add $6.00 per $1,000.00
$100,001.00 - $500,000.00 + add $5.00 per $1,000.00
Rates are calculated on an accumulation basis.
BASIC UNDERWRITING RATE SCHEDULE - Florida
Rate per $1000.00
Up to $100,000 $5.75 per $1,000
Over $100,000 up to $1,000,000 $575 for first $100,000 plus
$5.00 per $1,000 thereafter
CANCELLATION CHARGES
When an application is cancelled after work has commenced, the approved cancellation charge (consisting of the applicable search and exam fee or either $150, plus actual out-of pocket charges) will be made.
